How It Works.

* Video Camera, Mic, a desktop or a laptop are required.

Hosting

Enter your info

Choose the name you’d like to use while video chatting and enter your Groupview topic.

Create your Groupview!

Select a video to watch with your group

Copy and share your Groupview link with up to 5 people by clicking on the "Invite Friends" menu item, or, share with anyone by switching your Groupview mode to "Public".

Start your Groupview

Once everyone is ready, start your Groupview. You can play, pause, skip, and seek for the group.

Each participant has individual control over the show audio volume. Other participants can be muted.

Click Click to Talk switch to start talking.
Video volume will be muted.

Click Start Audio switch to resume main audio.
Your volume will be muted.

Joining

Join a Groupview

There are several ways of joining a GroupView.

Public GroupViews

Check the Groupview.tv "Live!" page for public GroupViews and click "JOIN" on the one you are interested in.

Private Links

A host may send you an email or message indicating a private Groupview link. Click that link to join.

Enter your info

Choose the name you’d like to use while video chatting.

Enjoy your GroupView

Each participant has individual control over the show audio volume. Other participants can be muted.

Video volume will be muted.

Video quality dynamically adjusts based on the strength of a user's network connectivity.

We recommend a minimum dedicated 350kb/s download speed to maintain a stable video connection.

To check your internet speed, please go to speedtest.net.

Anyone is welcome to join your Groupview! Friends and family can join their Groupview for FREE!

A host can invite up to 5 friends for a total of 6 participants per Groupview.

You can host an unlimited number of Watch Parties. You can only host one Groupview at a time.

You can start a Groupview on your computer.

Please make sure that all other Video chat programs are closed and click "allow" when browser popup asks for permissions to use video camera and mic.

Groupview supports the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge 79+ (Chromium-based versions of Edge) on desktop operating systems.
